Cogne is one of the most charming villages in the Aosta Valley, nestled at an altitude of 1,534 metres in the valley of the same name that opens up at the foot of Gran Paradiso, the highest peak lying entirely within Italian territory at 4,061 metres. The hotel is centrally located within the village, along Via Dottor Grappein, just a short walk from the main square with its famous fountain and the parish church of Sant’Orso, which gives its name to the sister hotel only 60 metres away.

About 400 metres from the hotel, the territory of the Gran Paradiso National Park begins, established in 1922 as Italy’s first national park. The park is renowned for its ibex, chamois and golden eagles, and offers a network of hiking trails walkable in all seasons. In winter, Cogne is a destination for cross-country skiing enthusiasts thanks to the Loipe, one of the longest and most scenic circuits in Europe. About 3 km away lie the spectacular Lillaz Waterfalls, a favourite destination for summer outings, while the Geological Park can be reached by car in just 5 minutes.
