B&B Del Prato is a family-run property in the heart of Bagnoregio, in the province of Viterbo, about 1.9 km from the famous Civita di Bagnoregio viewpoint.
The rooms, set in a historic building with exposed wooden beam ceilings, are designed for romantic getaways or solo stays: from the Double Room with External Private Bathroom to the cozier Small Double Room with city view, each space keeps an authentic character tied to the village’s tradition. Some rooms have a fireplace, others a coffee machine, and all offer a flat-screen TV and free WiFi connection.
In the morning guests find an Italian buffet breakfast, while the common room becomes a gathering point for organising excursions to Lake Bolsena or to Orvieto, reachable in about twenty kilometres. The property accepts pets on request and provides luggage storage and lockers, making it a practical base for those visiting Tuscia on foot or by bike.

B&B Del Prato offers three room types, all set in a historic building with exposed wooden beam ceilings and furnishings that recall local tradition. The rooms share features such as flat-screen TV and free WiFi, and differ mainly in bathroom layout and size.
The Double Room with External Private Bathroom and the Double Room with Private Bathroom, both 18 sqm, feature a large double bed, while the latter also adds a fireplace for cooler evenings. The Small Double Room, at 14 sqm, is designed for a single guest and stands out for its city view and in-room coffee machine, ideal for those travelling alone through the alleys of Bagnoregio.
This 18 sqm room features exposed wooden beam ceilings and a view that makes it one of the brightest rooms in the B&B. The bathroom, although private, is located outside the room, a detail that distinguishes it from its twin with an interior bathroom. Equipped with a flat-screen TV, it is designed for two guests.
Identical in size to the previous room but with a private bathroom inside the room, this room stands out above all for its fireplace, unique among the three types, which makes it ideal in the colder months. It retains the same exposed wooden beams and offers a flat-screen TV.
The smallest of the three, at 14 sqm, is designed for a single guest and offers a city view as well as an in-room coffee machine, a detail absent in the other room types. The private bathroom has a shower and bidet, in a cosier but functional space.
B&B Del Prato provides a common room with TV area, luggage storage and lockers for those arriving before check-in or leaving after check-out. The property is entirely non-smoking and offers wheelchair access, although the upper floors can only be reached via stairs.
Rooms are never lacking in anything: shower or bathtub, bidet, hairdryer, bed linen and an electrical outlet near the bed are present in all rooms. On request the kitchen offers menus for special diets, while free WiFi connection and flat-screen TV are guaranteed in every room. Pets are allowed on request, as are cots and extra beds for families with children.
B&B Del Prato occupies a historic building on Via della Cassa, in the centre of Bagnoregio, a village in the Viterbo area of Tuscia known for its view over nearby Civita. The neighbourhood retains stone alleys, small shops and inns just steps from the property: the restaurant C’Era una Volta l’Hostaria is just 50 metres away, as is Janky Bistrot, while the Da Boe Chiosco Bar kiosk is about 100 metres away and the Magna Civita café is 350 metres away.
Civita di Bagnoregio, the famous village reachable only on foot via a pedestrian bridge, is just 1.9 km from the B&B. Orvieto, with its Cathedral, is about 20 km away, while Orvieto railway station is just over 10 km away and is connected to the Rome-Florence line. For those arriving by air, Umbria – Perugia San Francesco d’Assisi Airport is about 61 km away, just over an hour by car.
The area is suited to outdoor stays in every season: in spring and summer, Lake Bolsena, 3.8 km away, offers beaches and water sports, while in autumn the badlands surrounding Civita provide striking views for those who love walking the trails of Tuscia. Santa Maria Castle, 6 km away, and the Castagneti Municipal Park, 8 km away, are two more destinations for half-day excursions. In winter the village empties of day-trippers and offers a more authentic atmosphere, ideal for those seeking a quiet stay away from the summer crowds.
Reviews particularly reward the staff, rated 9.5, and the location, 9.4, especially appreciated by couples. Cleanliness and comfort remain at high levels, 8.9, while the value for money, still solid at 8.4, is the lowest score among the reviewed categories.
