Location & what to see

B&B Marzia stands on Strada Osteria, deep in the countryside on the outskirts of Alba, in the hamlet of Mussotto, among rows of vineyards and scattered farmhouses typical of the Langhe landscape. The area is quiet and residential, away from the traffic of the historic centre yet still just a few minutes’ drive from the main streets of the truffle city.

Those arriving by train can rely on Mussotto station, just 750 metres away, or Alba station, about 2.8 km away and connected to the main Piedmontese cities. By car, Cuneo Levaldigi airport is about 35 km away, while Turin airport is 58 km away, convenient for those coming from outside the region. In the immediate surroundings there are also some food and wine addresses such as Agriturismo Contino Paolo, just 300 metres away, and the restaurant Gusto Italiano, 350 metres away. Alba’s historic centre, with its Cathedral of San Lorenzo and the streets of the white truffle, can be reached in a few minutes by car and is an ideal base for exploring the entire Barolo and Barbaresco DOCG area.

The Langhe offer numerous reasons to venture out from the property: the Sferisterio adventure park is about 4.9 km away, while Cavour Castle, one of the most striking manors in the area, is 7 km away. A little further, the Cedar of Lebanon natural park, 9 km away, is ideal for a walk among centuries-old sequoias and cedars. In autumn the area comes alive with white truffle fairs, while in spring and summer the hills lend themselves to cycling routes among vineyards and historic wineries, many of which are open for tastings by appointment.
