Location & what to see

The property is located on Via Luccoli, one of Genoa’s historic shopping streets, right in the heart of the caruggi, the famous network of medieval alleys that characterises the heart of Genoa. Around the building, noble palaces, small artisan workshops and traditional taverns follow one another, in an authentically urban and pedestrian setting, away from the traffic of the main roads. Despite the liveliness of the area, the stone buildings and frescoed palaces create an intimate atmosphere, typical of Genoa’s historic centre, one of the largest in Europe.

The central location ensures quick connections with the rest of the city: the De Ferrari metro station is about 250 metres away, while San Giorgio is 350 metres away. Genova Piazza Principe railway station, a key hub for national connections, can be reached within a few minutes, and Genoa-Sestri Airport is about 5 km away. Restaurants such as Trattoria San Carlo and C’Era una Volta are also just a few steps away, both about 40-50 metres from the property.

Guests staying here can reach Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo Rosso and Palazzo Doria Tursi on foot in just a few minutes, key stops on the Rolli Palaces itinerary, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Genoa Aquarium, one of the largest in Europe, is about 500 metres away, while Porta Soprana, the ancient medieval gate near Christopher Columbus’s birthplace, is 450 metres away. Not far away is also the Porto Antico, with the Bigo area, ideal for a waterfront stroll in any season. In summer, it’s worth heading to the beaches of Boccadasse or Vernazzola, both about 4 km away, for a seaside break after exploring the historic centre.

Palazzo Ducale — Historic public palace hosting exhibitions and cultural events 250 m
Palazzo Rosso — Museum with baroque frescoes and collections of antique paintings 200 m
Genoa Aquarium — One of the largest aquariums in Europe, on the old port 500 m
Porta Soprana — Ancient medieval gate near Columbus's house 450 m
