Location & what to see

Camere Nicolina is located in the historic centre of Vernazza, one of the five villages that make up the Cinque Terre National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The property can only be reached on foot, through the characteristic uphill lanes connecting the station to the small harbour, and is surrounded by restaurants, bars and gelaterias that bring the village centre to life from the early morning hours.

Vernazza’s train station is about 100 metres away, a notable advantage in a village where car traffic is heavily restricted; from here, regional trains connect within minutes to the other Cinque Terre villages, from Monterosso to Riomaggiore. Vernazza’s small beach is about 50 metres away, while Corniglia’s beach is 2.4 km away. Manarola and Volastra can be reached in about twenty minutes by car, Riomaggiore 16 km away.

In summer, the panoramic trails connecting the villages, such as the stretch towards Corniglia, are the most popular activity among guests, along with swimming in the small rocky inlets along the coast. In cooler months, Vernazza is well suited to leisurely strolls through its narrow lanes, wine tastings of Cinque Terre wines in the local wine bars, and visits to the Church of Santa Margherita d’Antiochia, overlooking the harbour. The Cinque Terre National Park, about 150 metres from the property, also offers hiking trails of varying difficulty along the entire coast.
