Family Hotel Gran Baita is located in the heart of Pozza di Fassa, one of the main towns in Val di Fassa, surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk: the El Filò restaurant is just 150 metres away, while Bar Anny is about 550 metres away. The area retains the typical character of the Dolomite villages, with wood and stone buildings and mountains visible from every corner of the town.

The Buffaure and Aloch ski lifts are about 800 metres from the property, making the hotel convenient for those who want to reach the slopes without using a car. Bolzano Airport is the nearest air connection, about 27 km away, while Canazei and its play park are just over 8 km away. The Dolomite passes road easily connects Pozza di Fassa to the other towns in the valley.

In winter the area is a reference point for alpine skiing on the Buffaure ski area and for snowshoeing walks through the snow-covered woods; in summer, hikes towards Cima Catinaccio, which rises above 2981 metres, and trips to Lake Carezza, about 8.5 km away, an alpine lake known for the emerald-green reflections of its waters, prevail.
