Chalet S is located in one of the most sought-after areas of Selva di Val Gardena, among wooden chalets and mountain hotels, just steps from the Ciampinoi cable car that directly connects the village to the resort’s slopes. The hamlet retains the typical character of the Ladin villages of Val Gardena, with views of the surrounding Dolomites.

The Ciampinoi cable car is about 500 metres away, while the Puez Odle Natural Park, a destination for hikes among rock towers and plateaus, is just 3 km away. Bolzano, the provincial capital, can be reached in about a 40-minute drive, while the nearest airport is Bolzano Airport, 33 km away. Within a few hundred metres there are several restaurants, including Apartments Rusctlea just 30 metres away and Des Alpes and Bellavista at 300 metres, convenient for dinner without needing to drive.

In winter the area is one of the access points to the Sellaronda, the famous ski circuit around the Sella Group, while in summer the same lifts serve hikers heading toward the Vallone or the surrounding peaks, such as Monte Pic-Val Gardena at 2.8 km and Sella del Culac just over 3 km away.
