The village develops vertically among alleyways and steps: the property itself is reached by climbing about 100 steps and has no lift, a detail worth considering for those travelling with heavy luggage or reduced mobility. Guests arriving by car must leave their vehicle in the public car park about 1 km from the historic centre and continue on foot.

Vernazza’s railway station is just 100 metres from the hotel and connects several times a day to the other Cinque Terre villages: Monterosso can be reached in a few minutes by train, as can Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. In the warmer season the water bus is also active, a scenic alternative to the train for getting around the coast. Vernazza’s beach is just 50 metres away, while the small marina is a short walk from the property; nearby there are also restaurants such as Il Gattaccio and Trattoria Incadase da Piva, both about 40 metres away.

The Cinque Terre area is famous for the hiking trails connecting the five villages along the coast, part of the Cinque Terre National Park, about 150 metres from the hotel: routes such as the stretch towards Corniglia offer sea views among terraced vineyards and olive groves.
