Hotel Hell is located in the most central area of Ortisei, in the heart of Val Gardena, just 100 metres from the Mar Dolomit water centre and a short walk from restaurants such as Vives and Pizza Shop. The property has received a score of 9.5 for location, among the highest recorded in the area, and is two minutes’ walk from a ski school, a detail that makes it a convenient reference point for those arriving in Val Gardena to ski.

Cafe Suredl is about 700 metres away, while the valley station of the Rasciesa cable car is 800 metres away, useful for heading up to the trails and high-altitude huts without moving the car. Bolzano Airport, the main gateway for Val Gardena, is about 28 km away, reachable by car in just under an hour along the road that climbs the Isarco valley.

In winter, direct access to the slopes allows guests to reach the Dolomiti Superski area without having to travel, while in summer the area is well suited to hikes towards the Sciliar massif, visible from about 2.4 km away, and towards Monte Pic, 3.7 km away. In the wider surroundings, within about ten kilometres, there are also the Agricultural Museum and the small Furscher Weiher lake, two stops suitable for a day trip between hikes. The centre of Ortisei, with shops, art galleries linked to the tradition of wood carving and the cable car to Alpe di Siusi, remains just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.
