Hotel Villa Rina is a family-run hotel located on Via Milano, Bormio’s main street, just a short walk from the Bormio Terme thermal centre and the free ski bus stop that connects directly to the ski lifts, about 2 km away.
The 3-star property features a restaurant specialising in traditional Valtellina cuisine and a bar with TV and sofa open throughout the day. In summer, the garden becomes guests’ favourite spot to enjoy the mountain air after a hike. Parking is free and available directly on site.
The rooms, furnished with tiled floors and ceilings with exposed wooden beams or wood-panelled walls, range from the more compact double to the spacious Superior Family Room, many with a balcony and views of the surrounding mountains. All feature a private bathroom with toiletries and a TV. Breakfast, served every morning, offers continental, Italian, buffet and gluten-free options, making the hotel a practical base for families and groups on holiday between skiing and thermal baths.

Hotel Villa Rina offers six room types, designed to suit different needs: from the more compact 12 sqm Double Room to the 50 sqm Superior Family Room, which can accommodate up to five people. All accommodations share the same rustic style, with tiled floors and ceilings with exposed wooden beams or wood-panelled walls, and are equipped with a private bathroom with hairdryer and toiletries, as well as a flat-screen TV.
Many rooms have a balcony with views of the mountains or the town, a detail particularly appreciated during the winter season. The Suite stands out for its whirlpool shower and two balconies, while the Superior Family Room offers a genuine living area with a desk, ideal for larger families. The Triple and Quadruple rooms, with combinable single and double bed configurations, are designed for groups and medium-sized family units.
The most compact of the hotel’s double rooms, designed for couples looking for an essential yet comfortable accommodation. The rustic design with exposed wooden beams and tiled floor is shared throughout the property, but here the spaces are cosy and functional, with a balcony and views of the mountains or the town.
The Suite is the largest accommodation dedicated to couples, with twice the space of the Double Room. The wood-panelled walls create a warm atmosphere, while the two balconies overlooking the mountains and the whirlpool shower make it the only room in the property designed for a more romantic stay.
Designed for small groups or families with one child, this room combines a double bed and a single bed in a 15 sqm space. It maintains the hotel’s rustic style with a tiled floor and offers a more flexible layout than the standard doubles.
With its 20 sqm and capacity for up to four people, this room is the most suitable choice for larger families who don’t need the extra space of the Superior Family Room. The combination of two single beds and a double bed ensures flexibility in the layout.
Identical in size to the Double Room but with two separate single beds, this option is designed for couples who prefer not to share a bed, or for two friends travelling together. It has a balcony with mountain views and a flat-screen satellite TV.
The largest of the hotel’s accommodations, with 50 sqm spread across a separate living area, a desk and a balcony. It can host up to five people thanks to four beds in total, making it the only choice truly suited to large families or groups who want to stay together in the same room.
Hotel Villa Rina offers a range of services designed for those spending their holiday between skiing and thermal baths. Parking is free and available directly on site, with an electric vehicle charging station also available, while free WiFi covers all areas. Inside the property there is a bar open all day, a common room with a TV area and board games, and outdoor spaces such as a garden, terrace and furnished area for summer. Non-smoking rooms and the availability of family accommodations make the hotel suitable for groups with children too.
Other useful details include an on-site minimarket, heating and a lift, as well as safety features such as smoke alarms and fire extinguishers. The property is entirely non-smoking.

The area has a mostly residential yet lively character, with bars and restaurants just steps away and easy access to the road leading to the Stelvio Pass, which is closed however from November to the end of May due to snow.
The free public ski bus stops right in front of the hotel with departures every 15-30 minutes, connecting in just a few minutes to the Bormio ski lifts, about 2 km away. Stelvio National Park, one of Italy’s largest protected areas, is in the immediate vicinity of the property.
