The area is residential and quiet, just a few minutes’ walk from the historic centre with its Porta Orientale, about 1.2 km away, a landmark for those who want to stroll through the arcades and streets of the old town.

Getting around is easy: Bruneck-Brunico railway station is about 550 metres away, useful for those arriving without a car, while Bolzano Airport is 58 km away. Nearby there are several places to eat, such as Pizza Express 700 metres away and the restaurant Blitzburg 650 metres away, as well as a couple of bars just over a kilometre away. Taufers Castle, about 14 km away, is a classic destination for a day trip to the nearby Tures Valley. The Val Pusteria cycle path network, which follows the course of the Rienza river, starts right in Brunico and connects the town to Dobbiaco and Fortezza, making the area a convenient base for those travelling by bike as well.

In winter the location is ideal for those heading to the Kronplatz lifts, among the best-known ski areas in South Tyrol, while in summer the area is well suited to hikes towards Furcia Pass, about 8 km away, and the peaks of Val Pusteria. About 7 km away is the MMM Corones museum, dedicated to mountaineering and designed by Zaha Hadid, a cultural stop that pairs well with days devoted to outdoor sports.
