Location & what to see

La Torretta Lodge occupies a medieval tower in the heart of Manarola, one of the five villages that make up the Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the Ligurian coast. The village climbs up the cliffside with its colourful houses, stone alleyways and terraced vineyards, and the property is just steps from the town’s main gathering spots, among traditional restaurants and small artisan gelaterias 50 metres from the entrance.

Manarola railway station is just 250 metres away, with local connections to Riomaggiore, La Spezia, Levanto and Genoa, the most convenient way to travel along the coast without a car. Riomaggiore beach is about 1.3 km away, while the Cinque Terre National Park begins 1.4 km from the property. For those arriving by air, Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport is the nearest reference point, about 70 km away.

In summer, the panoramic trails connecting the Cinque Terre villages, such as the historic Via dell’Amore towards Riomaggiore, are the most popular activity among guests, along with snorkelling and diving along the coast, which can be arranged through the property’s tour desk. In autumn and spring the area is well suited to walks among the terraced vineyards, while La Spezia, reachable by train in just a few minutes, offers museums such as the Amedeo Lia Museum and San Giorgio Castle for a more cultural day out, especially in the colder months when the sea is less inviting.
