La Volta is located in Colico, on the northern shore of Lake Como, in a quiet hamlet along the river that once powered the old watermill from which the property takes its inspiration. The surrounding landscape alternates the greenery of private gardens with the first slopes of the mountains that close off the lake to the north, in an area more secluded and less touristy than the villages of the lower lake.

Colico Beach is about 1.7 km away, while Colico train station is just 1.3 km away, convenient for those arriving by train from Milan or Lecco. Nearby you can also find Fuentes Fort, 3 km away, and Piona Abbey, 3.6 km away, both reachable in a few minutes by car or bike. The nearest airports are Lugano Agno, 38 km away, and Bergamo-Orio al Serio, about 55 km away, also connected by a paid shuttle organised by the property.
