Location & what to see

Passo Sella Dolomiti Mountain Resort is located directly on Passo Sella, at approximately 2244 metres of altitude, one of the most famous mountain passes in the Dolomites, framed by the walls of the Sassolungo and the Sella group. There are no towns around the property: the landscape is dominated by rocks, high-altitude meadows and ski slopes that become part of the great Sellaronda ski carousel in winter. The high altitude ensures abundant snow cover from December to April and cool temperatures even in high summer.

Selva di Val Gardena can be reached in about 15 minutes by car, while Canazei is 13 km away, on the opposite side of the pass, in Trentino territory. Ristorante Pizzeria B&B Pian Schiavaneis is just 50 metres away, Rifugio Salei is about 700 metres away and Rifugio des Alpes is 1.5 km away, all reachable on foot along the paths branching off from the pass. Bolzano airport, the closest, is about 33 km away.

In winter the resort is a reference point for alpine skiing thanks to direct access to the Sellaronda slopes, one of the most famous ski-in circuits in the Alps, with over 40 km of connected slopes between Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba and Val di Fassa. In summer the area becomes a paradise for hiking and mountain biking, with trails climbing towards the Grohmannspitze, a 3126-metre peak visible from the pass, and towards the nearby Col De Toi. Photography and trekking enthusiasts will find some of the most photographed views of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the surrounding area.

Ristorante Pizzeria B&B Pian Schiavaneis — Pizzeria and restaurant just outside the property, convenient for a quick dinner 50 m
Rifugio Salei — Mountain hut reachable on foot, a classic stop for hikers 700 m
Rifugio des Alpes — Panoramic mountain hut along the trails starting from Passo Sella 1.5 km
Grohmannspitze — 3126-metre Dolomite peak, a destination for high-altitude hikes 1.8 km
