Pensione Sorriso is located in the heart of Vernazza, one of the five villages that make up the Cinque Terre National Park, just 40 metres from the entrance to the protected area and about 300 metres from the village beach. The area is typical of the Ligurian historic centre, made up of colourful houses, narrow alleys and steps leading down to the small harbour, with restaurants and bars just steps from the property’s entrance.

Vernazza train station is just 40 metres away, a huge advantage for those who want to travel along the coast without a car: in a few minutes by train you can reach Monterosso al Mare, Corniglia and the other Cinque Terre villages. Doria Castle overlooks the village just above the pensione, while Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport is about 107 km away, a reference point for those arriving by plane. Several beaches can also be found nearby, including Corniglia beach at 2.3 km and Monterosso beach at 2.5 km.

In spring and summer the best way to experience the area is to walk along the famous Blue Trail, which connects the villages with views over the sea; in the cooler months, panoramic trekking and visits to the villages remain the main activity for those staying in the area.
