Posthotel Lamm is a four-star hotel located in the pedestrian zone of Vipiteno’s historic centre, in South Tyrol, recently refurbished with structural works completed in 2024. The property caters to those seeking a convenient base for exploring the Alps of the Wipp Valley, combining the atmosphere of a traditional hotel with renewed facilities such as the pool and wellness area.
The rooms, furnished in alpine style with light wood furniture, range from the most compact single to the larger quadruple rooms, some with a panoramic balcony overlooking the mountains and others housed in the annexe just steps from the main building. All feature a private bathroom with courtesy set, satellite TV and free WiFi throughout.
On the dedicated wellness floor there is a whirlpool tub, a Turkish bath and a Finnish sauna, all free for guests, while the restaurant serves typical South Tyrolean dishes alongside international specialities. The Monte Cavallo ski slopes are just five minutes away by car, and the bus stop in front of the hotel connects directly to Bolzano.

Posthotel Lamm offers twelve room types, from the Single designed for solo travellers to the Superior Quadruple suited to larger families, all furnished with the same alpine taste of light wood and traditional fabrics. They share a private bathroom with hairdryer and courtesy set, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and free WiFi, while the sizes vary considerably, from 18 sqm in the Single to 42 sqm in the most spacious Quadruple.
The main differences concern the view and the position within the property: some rooms overlook a quiet inner courtyard, others have a balcony with a view of the surrounding mountains, while the Double Room in the annexe is located in a separate building a few metres away, with no lift. The superior room types add parquet flooring and a bathroom with tub or shower, making the choice of room a concrete way to tailor the stay to space, view and budget.
A 23 sqm room furnished in traditional alpine style, with a window overlooking an inner courtyard with no outside view. The private bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer and courtesy set, an essential and quiet solution for two people.
The most compact room in the property, at 18 sqm, designed for solo travellers. Furnished in traditional alpine style, it offers a private bathroom and free WiFi in a cosy and functional space.
At 27 sqm, this room sleeps up to three people thanks to a sofa bed suitable for children, alongside the main double bed. The private bathroom has a hairdryer and courtesy set.
Among the largest in the property at 42 sqm, this quadruple room has two separate windows, one facing an enclosed inner courtyard and the other an internal staircase. The extra beds are designed for families with children.
The only room type housed in the annexe, just 20 metres from the main building, in a building with no lift. It features satellite TV, free WiFi and a private bathroom with hairdryer and courtesy set.
A room with wood interiors and a balcony, the only one of this size overlooking the courtyard with a view. The private bathroom has a tub or shower, while the sofa bed makes it suitable for a third guest.
A larger version of the previous room, designed for four people, with the same balcony and courtyard view but a few extra square metres to move around comfortably. Private bathroom with tub or shower.
One of the few rooms with a direct view of the surrounding mountains from its own balcony, this Superior room has parquet flooring and a private bathroom with tub or shower, a small step up compared to the Standard.
