The area extends along the slopes above the Dora Baltea river, in a region of rare natural beauty characterised by forests, alpine meadows and ancient Walser settlements.

Rascard lies along the route of the Tor des Géants, the famous alpine ultramarathon that traverses the entire perimeter of the Aosta Valley — a location that draws hiking and trail running enthusiasts from across Europe. Nearby activities include skiing, cycling, hiking, canoeing and fishing, with privileged access to a territory that remains unspoilt and relatively untouched by mass tourism.
