Location & what to see

Relais Villa D’Amelia is located in the Manera hamlet of Benevello, a small village in the Langhe nestled among Barolo and Barbaresco vineyards. The area retains a strongly rural character, made up of renovated farmhouses, neat rows of vines and views opening onto the hills between the Alps and the Val Bormida, away from traffic and the more touristy centres of the area.

Just a short walk from the property, within 200 metres, there is a bakery with a wood-fired oven and two village restaurants, convenient for an informal dinner without needing a car. Alba, the truffle capital and home to the nearest railway station, can be reached in about 15 minutes by car (9 km), while the A33 motorway toll booth is a similar distance away. Cavour Castle is about 9 km away, and the Cedar of Lebanon nature park just under 12 km. For those arriving by air, Cuneo-Levaldigi airport is 38 km away, and Turin airport about 70 km.

The Langhe are experienced differently depending on the season: in autumn the area attracts truffle and grape harvest enthusiasts, with the Barolo and Barbaresco wineries open for tastings; in spring and summer, walks and bicycle excursions among the vineyards prevail, activities the hotel itself organises for guests. Alba is worth a visit for its medieval old town and food and wine markets, while the surrounding hills offer scenic routes suited both to those seeking peace and quiet and to those wanting to discover the historic wineries of the Barolo denomination.
