Stella Della Marina is located in the heart of the historic centre of Monterosso al Mare, the only one of the Cinque Terre villages also reachable by car, in a 17th-century building along Via XX Settembre, the pedestrian street that runs through the old village among colourful houses, shops and small restaurants. The pedestrian zone requires leaving the car in the nearest public car park, but this ensures peace and quiet just steps from the sea.

The old town beach is about 100 metres away, Fegina beach is 250 metres away, while Monterosso railway station is 500 metres away: from here regional trains connect in just a few minutes to Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, making it easy to explore the Cinque Terre without a car. Those arriving by air can refer to Genoa-Sestri Airport, about 69 km away. Several restaurants can be found in the immediate vicinity, such as Il Moretto and la Cambusa, just a few metres from the entrance.

Monterosso is the starting point of the famous Blue Trail of the Cinque Terre, which follows the coast to Riomaggiore via Vernazza, Corniglia and Manarola: a route best walked in spring and autumn, while in summer the most popular destination remains Fegina beach, at the foot of the headland.
