The sunset view

The sunset view is a guest house in Riomaggiore, in the heart of the Cinque Terre, just 600 metres from the local beach and 450 metres from the entrance to the Cinque Terre National Park.

The property offers two very different types of accommodation: a room with balcony and sea view designed for couples, and a bungalow with two bedrooms and a separate living area, suitable for small groups or large families travelling without young children, as access for minors is not permitted. All accommodations have a private bathroom.

Amenities include a garden, terrace, free WiFi and entirely non-smoking rooms. Location is one of the features most mentioned by guests: Riomaggiore train station is just steps away, as are several restaurants and pizzerias in the village. Guests staying here can easily walk along the blue trail towards Manarola or reach La Spezia in just a few minutes by train, all while remaining immersed in the authentic atmosphere of one of Liguria’s most photographed fishing villages.

Room types

The sunset view offers two accommodation options designed for different needs. The King Room with Balcony, at 16 square metres, is the most popular choice for couples: it features a large double bed, private bathroom with shower, balcony and sea view, plus a dedicated terrace where you can enjoy the sunset over the gulf. The Bungalow with 2 Bedrooms, on the other hand, is the ideal solution for groups or families without young children, able to accommodate up to six people thanks to two bedrooms each with a double bed and a living area with two sofa beds.

Both types guarantee a private bathroom and entirely non-smoking rooms. The main difference lies in the size and layout: the double room favours intimacy and views, while the bungalow offers more space and flexibility for those sharing their stay with others.

Location & what to see

The sunset view is located in the village of Riomaggiore, the easternmost of the Cinque Terre, in a position that allows guests to reach both the sea and the national park trails on foot. The area retains the typical character of Ligurian fishing villages, with colourful houses perched over the coast and narrow alleys descending towards the small harbour.

Riomaggiore beach is about 600 metres away, while the entrance to the Cinque Terre National Park is just 450 metres from the property. Riomaggiore train station, connected to the line running through all the Cinque Terre villages as far as La Spezia, is about 50 metres away, and Manarola station is 750 metres away: a notable advantage for those wishing to get around without a car. Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport is the nearest airport, about 69 km away, while the centre of La Spezia, with the San Giorgio Castle and the Amedeo Lia Museum, is about 6-7 km away.

In summer, the area is the ideal starting point for the famous blue trail towards Manarola, for swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the coast, or for boat excursions along the Cinque Terre coastline. In autumn and spring, when tourist flows are reduced, the area is better suited for trekking among the terraced vineyards, a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the entire village. Nearby there are plenty of restaurants and pizzerias, such as those just a few metres from the property’s entrance, useful for dinner after a day of walking.
