Villa Helvetia

Room types

The five room types at Villa Helvetia range from the Deluxe Double Room, the most compact at 32 sqm, to the spacious two-room suites exceeding 40 sqm. All accommodations offer a private bathroom, air conditioning, a self-service minibar and an espresso machine, as well as hypoallergenic mattresses and bedding available on request.

The King Deluxe, King and King with Balcony suites feature a separate living area with a sofa bed and a bedroom with an extra-large double bed, ideal for families or extended stays; the King Suite with Balcony also adds a private outdoor space with mountain views. The Junior Suite and the Deluxe Double Room remain more compact, designed for couples, while still offering a flat-screen TV, courtesy set and bathrobes in every room.

Location & what to see

Villa Helvetia is located in Merano’s villa district, a quiet residential area of period residences and private gardens, just a few minutes’ walk from the historic centre of the spa town and its promenades along the Passirio river.

Maia Bassa train station is about 1 km away, while Merano’s central station is 1.7 km away; the free shuttle to the Merano 2000 ski slopes stops just 200 metres from the property. Bolzano Airport is the closest, at 25 km, and the property offers a paid shuttle service for guests arriving by air. Within a few hundred metres you’ll find bars, cafés and restaurants such as Pizzeria Heinz and Villa Heidelberg, convenient for evening dinners without needing a car.

Guests staying at Villa Helvetia are within walking distance of some of Merano’s best-known attractions: the Sissi Gardens at 500 metres, Maia Park at 350 metres, the Princely Castle at 950 metres and the Powder Tower at 750 metres.
