The cottage is located in the Champlong Dessus hamlet, a small and peaceful settlement on the heights above Villeneuve, a municipality in the lower Aosta Valley situated along the Dora Baltea river approximately 25 kilometres west of Aosta. The elevated position offers an open view of the surrounding peaks, away from the traffic of the main road, in an authentic rural setting.
The village of Villeneuve, reachable in just a few minutes by car, provides all basic services: a minimarket, bars, restaurants, a pizzeria, pharmacy, tobacconist, bank and a sports centre with an outdoor swimming pool. For water sports enthusiasts, nearby facilities offer rafting and canoeing along the Dora Baltea, as well as an adventure park and a small lake for sport fishing.
The valley is rich in medieval history: within a short distance lie the castles of Villeneuve, Saint-Pierre, Introd, Aymavilles and Sarre, all open to visitors. In Introd you will also find the Parc Animalier, one of the most popular wildlife parks in the region. The main ski resorts of the Aosta Valley — including Pila, around 25 km away — are easily reachable by car, making the cottage an ideal starting point for both winter skiing holidays and summer mountain hikes.
