Antico Albergo del Sole al Pantheon

Antico Albergo del Sole al Pantheon is a 4-star hotel overlooking Piazza della Rotonda in Rome, housed in a building dating back to 1467 that once hosted, among others, Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir.

The rooms, furnished with fine fabrics and classic-style furniture, all feature air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a minibar; some room types offer a direct view of the Pantheon or the square, while others overlook the quieter inner courtyard. The range spans from double rooms to suites and multi-level apartments, some of which are housed in a separate building on Via della Rosetta.

Breakfast, served on an elegant covered patio, features cheeses, cured meats and fresh fruit, with scrambled eggs and bacon available on request. Around the hotel are the cafés and restaurants of the square, while the Trevi Fountain is just 500 metres away and Largo Argentina, a hub for buses to the Vatican and Termini Station, is a five-minute walk away. It is a property designed for those who want to experience Rome’s historic centre while staying steps from its most famous landmarks.
