Room types

The four rooms at Colosseo Panorama by GHOR share parquet floors, individually adjustable air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and free WiFi, with a size ranging from 14 to 16 square metres and a partial view of the Colosseum or the city. Each room can accommodate up to two guests, and the bed type, a large double bed or two single beds, must be communicated at the time of booking.

The main differences concern the bathroom: two rooms have a private external bathroom, one has a bathroom with a whirlpool tub for a more relaxing stay, while the last room type offers a private en-suite bathroom with a shower, bidet and courtesy set. Colosseo Panorama by GHOR is located on Via Labicana, in Rione Monti, one of Rome’s oldest and most characteristic districts, halfway between the Colosseum and the Basilica of St. John Lateran. The area is a mix of medieval alleys, historic buildings and typical eateries, lively by day with shops and markets and by evening with restaurants and trattorias also frequented by locals.

The Colosseum is about 450 metres away, reachable in around ten minutes on foot, while the Imperial Forums are 1.3 km away. The Colosseo metro stop, line B, is 650 metres away, and Manzoni is 600 metres away, useful for getting to the city centre or Termini station, less than a kilometre away. Those arriving by plane will find Ciampino airport about 11 km away and Fiumicino airport 20 km away, both connected to the centre by shuttle buses and trains.

Within a few hundred metres are the Domus Aurea, Nero’s underground residence, and the Arch of Constantine, while Palatine Hill and Via Sacra allow you to retrace the heart of ancient Rome on foot. For those who want to explore further, Piazza Venezia is 1.6 km away, the Trevi Fountain 1.8 km away, and Piazza di Spagna 2.3 km away, all reachable with a pleasant walk. In spring and autumn the ruins can be visited in ideal weather, while in summer it’s best to plan outings during the cooler morning hours.
