Colosseum B

Colosseum B is a guest house located in the Celio district of Rome, just 500 meters from the Colosseum and the Domus Aurea. The property occupies a single ground-floor unit and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, flat-screen TV, minibar, safe and private bathroom with bidet, plus bed linen and towels provided for every stay.

The three available room types, from the Double Room to the Comfort Triple Room, are designed for couples and small groups who want to stay close to the imperial ruins without giving up functional spaces. On request, guests can use a shared kitchen with tea and coffee offered by the property.

The location in the archaeological heart of the city is its most obvious strength: the Imperial Forums, Palatine Hill and the Arch of Constantine can all be reached on foot within a few minutes, while the Colosseo and Cavour metro stations allow quick trips to the rest of the capital. This is an address that suits those who plan their stay around intense cultural visits, moving mainly on foot or by public transport.

Location & what to see

Colosseum B is located in the Celio district, one of Rome’s oldest neighborhoods, just steps from the Domus Aurea and the Colosseum, in an urban fabric made of quiet streets, open-air archaeological remains and small neighborhood spots such as the Twins Bar café, just 100 meters from the entrance door.

The property is just 500 meters from the Colosseum and about 800 meters from Palatine Hill, while the Arch of Constantine is 550 meters away. To move around the city, the Colosseo metro station, 600 meters away, and Cavour, 800 meters away, are convenient; San Giovanni railway station is about 1.1 km away. Those arriving by air will find Ciampino Airport about 11 km away, connected by a paid shuttle organized by the property, while Fiumicino is about 19 km away.

The area is best explored on foot: besides the imperial ruins, the Imperial Forums and Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano can be reached in about ten minutes, while a longer walk leads to Piazza Venezia and the Trevi Fountain, both within 2 km. In winter, lines at the excavations are shorter, while in summer it’s best to visit the Colosseum and Forums in the early morning hours to avoid the heat and crowds.
