Location & what to see

Cunabu Emilio is located in the Prati district, one of Rome’s most elegant and orderly residential areas, characterised by wide tree-lined avenues, Umbertine-era buildings and a neighbourhood life made up of cafés and small restaurants. Via Paolo Emilio, where the property is located, is a quiet side street just a short walk from Piazza Risorgimento, the commercial heart of the district, and less than 800 metres from the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Square.

The location is convenient for those who want to get around without a car: Lepanto Metro Station is 300 metres away and Ottaviano Metro Station 350 metres, both on line A which connects directly to the historic centre and Termini Station. Flaminio Station, the starting point of the tram to Piazza del Popolo, is about 1.2 km away, while Castel Sant’Angelo can be reached with an 800-metre walk along the Tiber. Those arriving by air will find Fiumicino Airport about 17 km away and Ciampino Airport 15 km away, both connected to the centre by trains and shuttle buses.

From here it is easy to plan visits to the capital’s major attractions: Piazza Navona is about 1.5 km away, the Spanish Steps 1.7 km, and the Trevi Fountain just under 2 km, all reachable on foot in 20-30 minutes through the historic centre. In summer, the Tiber riverside and the gardens of Castel Sant’Angelo offer cooler evening walks, while in winter the Vatican Museums, often less crowded on weekdays, remain the most popular destination for visitors to the area.
