Hotel Forum

Hotel Forum is a 4-star hotel set in an 18th-century building in Rione Monti, Rome, right across from the Roman Forum, between the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia.

The property offers air-conditioned rooms with parquet floors, classic-style furnishings, satellite TV and a minibar, ranging from the more compact Single rooms to the Suites with views of the Roman Forum and marble-finished bathrooms. All accommodations feature a private bathroom and free WiFi, while some higher-category room types also offer a bathtub and a direct view of the archaeological ruins.

On the top floor is the panoramic terrace, where breakfast is served buffet-style with views over the rooftops of the Eternal City; the restaurant serves traditional Roman dishes and international specialties, while the bar is the evening meeting point for a cocktail. The lobby, with Persian rugs and wood paneling, sets the tone for the hotel’s polished atmosphere. The location, 400 meters from the Colosseo metro station and a few minutes’ walk from Fori Imperiali and Piazza Venezia, makes Hotel Forum a practical base for exploring Rome’s historic center on foot.

Location & what to see

Hotel Forum is located in Rione Monti, one of Rome’s oldest and most characteristic neighborhoods, just steps from the ruins of the Roman Forum and the Imperial Fora. The area retains cobbled alleys, artisan workshops and small venues, in a setting that blends the popular Roman atmosphere with proximity to the great monuments of antiquity. The building housing the hotel dates back to the 18th century and stands next to the Church of Santi Quirico e Giulitta.

The Colosseo metro station, on line B, is about 400 meters away, while the Cavour metro station is 500 meters away: both allow quick access to the rest of the city. On foot, the Colosseum is 600 meters away and Piazza Venezia is 500 meters away.

The location allows guests to visit some of the city’s most famous sites on foot: Palatine Hill at 450 meters, the Capitoline Museums at 400 meters and the Domus Aurea at 700 meters. In the opposite direction, the Trevi Fountain is about 800 meters away, while Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori are just over a kilometer away. In spring and autumn, the neighborhood is ideal for evening strolls among the venues of Piazza della Madonna dei Monti, while in summer the hotel’s terrace offers a privileged vantage point over the city’s rooftops during the hottest hours of the day.
