From here you can look out over the bay of the Natural Pools, one of the island’s most photographed views, and the proximity to Cala Feola, just 650 metres away, makes the most scenic beach in the area reachable in just a few minutes on foot.

For meals outside the hotel, Ristorante il Maestrale is 40 metres away, while Ristorante la Campanella and La Terrazza are both about 600-650 metres away. Forte Papa, a historic site from the Bourbon era, is 700 metres away and is a popular stop for those who want to combine sea and history. To get to the harbour and the centre of Ponza, the most convenient option remains the water taxi or the local bus service, since the island has no rail connections.

Le Forna is an ideal base for exploring the island’s western coast: in summer, boat excursions can be organised to Palmarola, visible from the sea-view rooms, or scuba diving among the caves and seabeds nearby, an activity offered directly in the area. In the low season, between April and June or in September, the Le Forna area offers scenic walks towards Chiaia di Luna and the nearby Terrazze, about 3.3 km away, in a milder climate and with fewer crowds than during the peak summer months.
