Valgrisenche is one of the most remote and unspoilt municipalities in the Aosta Valley, nestled in the side valley of the same name that opens towards the border with France. The village sits at around 1,660 metres above sea level and retains an authentic alpine character, with hamlets built in stone and wood typical of the traditional Valdostan architectural style. The valley is crossed by the Savara torrent and closes towards the Rutor massif, whose highest peak, the Testa del Rutor at 3,486 metres, lies just over 3.5 km from the hotel as the crow flies.
The hotel stands in the hamlet of Bonne, a few minutes from the municipal centre. The area is frequented mainly by summer hikers, off-piste skiers and outdoor enthusiasts seeking natural environments well away from the crowds. In the direction of the main valley lie the Castello di Avise, a medieval historic site, and the Avise railway station, approximately 17 km away by car.
