The property is entirely non-smoking and offers a limited number of stay options, designed both for couples and for groups or families needing more space. The rooms are furnished with a wardrobe, flat-screen TV and private bathroom with bed linen and towels included; some units also have their own kitchen with fridge, oven and microwave, useful for longer or self-catering stays.

The location allows guests to reach several neighbourhood bars and restaurants on foot, while Rome’s historic centre, with the Colosseum and the Domus Aurea, is just a few minutes away by metro. Couples particularly appreciate the area, rated 9.1 for a two-person stay, a sign of a quiet residential setting that is still well connected to the rest of the city.

Room types

Veturia’s offering is split between two very different options, designed for different stay needs. The first is a compact double room, 14 square metres, designed for two people and equipped with a private bathroom and flat-screen TV with satellite channels: a practical choice for those visiting Rome as a couple and looking simply for a place to rest after sightseeing.

The second type is instead a 50-square-metre apartment with two separate bedrooms, a living room and a full kitchen with hob, fridge, oven and a set of tableware. It can accommodate up to five people across its five single beds spread over the two rooms, making it the ideal solution for groups of friends or larger families who want more independence and space during their stay in Rome.

Location & what to see

Veturia is located in the San Giovanni district, a residential area southeast of Rome’s historic centre, lined with local shops, bars and small restaurants such as Pasticceria Veturia and C’Era una Volta, both just steps from the entrance. The setting is quiet yet lively, typical of Roman neighbourhoods frequented more by residents than by passing tourists.

The property is about 200 metres from Furio Camillo Metro Station and 300 metres from Ponte Lungo Metro Station, both on line A, which connects directly to the city centre. Tuscolana Station, on the regional rail network, is just 250 metres away. Rome Ciampino Airport is about 9 km away, while Fiumicino is 21 km away. Porta Maggiore can be reached in about 1.7 km, and the Colosseum is just under 3 km away.

From here it is easy to organise visits to the capital’s major attractions: the Domus Aurea is 2.8 km away, the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums can be reached in a few minutes by metro, and the Trevi Fountain is about 4.2 km away. In the summer months, the San Giovanni area stays cooler and less crowded than the historic centre, while in winter the proximity to the metro makes it easy to get around without having to walk too far between the city’s main archaeological sites and historic squares.
